The IRD was having an office complex purpose built for them in the Christchurch CBD. It needed to be Green, Modern and engender collaboration among the many staff. For too long the various IRD departments had operated from separate facilities across Christchurch.

Adopting the Canterbury plains as the inspiration for the flooring and using bold colour for way finding W&B developed a fascinating flooring concept. Utilising Interface's ultra green EntropyRE (RE for highly recycled content) and paintbox for the bold colour the flooring simply oozed sophistication and appeal. The EntropyRE colours mimicked the fields across Canterbury and the bold colour highlighted meeting areas, exits, collaboration points and the various facilities found across the floors.

Net result - awesome. The staff love the new building and from the buzz we heard when we walked the floor taking photos, productivity should be skyrocketing.
