InterfaceNZ is extremely proud of our complete closed loop recycling system. We are not aware of any other carpet supplier in New Zealand who is actively retrieving back carpet tile and having it recycled back into new carpet tile.
Any PVC backed competitive nylon carpet tile will be recycled by InterfaceNZ when supplying Interface carpet tile to replace it.
Any Interface carpet tile will be recycled by Interface irrespective of the carpet tile replacing it.
The process is simple.
The installer/demo team need to place the carpet tile onto pallets (see separate recycling instructions on our website) and shrinkwrap them. When they are received at one of our three depots (Owens Transport – Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch) InterfaceNZ will then organize to have them transported to the InterfaceFLOR recycling facility in Atlanta where they will be remade into new carpet tile.
