InterfaceFLOR Modular Carpets

Interface.Inc was established in 1973 by American Ray Anderson who saw a gap in the market for flexible floor coverings to cater to the expanding office market. Since this time carpet tile has become the fastest growing commercial floor covering worldwide and has been widely used in retail, healthcare, office and education environments.

InterfaceFLOR modular carpets offer an extensive range of colours, textures and patterns from subtle to striking, something to fit every project. Many products have been designed to be quarter-turned to provide a checkerboard effect, while other ranges are random, creating a high-varied floor plate. Others can be laid to create a solid appearance.

Modularity enables the easy incorporation of design features into the floor covering - comfort zones, and accents, borders and logos. Particularly in open plan environments, it offers a subtle way to organise space.

In addition to the vast array of patterns and colourways available in InterfaceFLOR’s standard range, custom designs and colours can be created to meet your environments exact needs (subject to minimum order quantities).

Advantages of modular carpet include:

Churn Flexibility

Modularity enables easy adaptation to churn, being able to be simply picked up and re-laid quickly and efficiently as organisations space allocations change. Unlike broadloom, sections of tile can easily be re-arranged as workstations, partitioning and other office equipment are moved.

Selective tile replacement

While InterfaceFLOR modular carpet has been carefully designed to provide an easily maintained and durable flooring solution, modularity provides the ability to selectively replace tiles or sections that sustain severe damage.

Tile Rotation

In most interior fit outs, 20% of the floor receives 80% of the wear. Modularity enables tile rotation so that the floorcoverings can wear more evenly, further extending the lifecycle. Combined with the 15-year warranty provided with most products, InterfaceFLOR modular carpet ensures long-term serviceability and appearance retention.

Installation Advantage

For high-rise buildings, transporting large rolls of broadloom to the actual area where it needs to be laid can be difficult or expensive. In many cases, broadloom rolls need to be craned in. Alternatively, the broadloom is often cut up to enable it to fit in lifts and only limited amounts can be moved at any one time. InterfaceFLOR modular carpet comes in easy to transport boxes and spare stock can easily be stored.
